Terms of service
The agreement between Flightglass and your firm when you use Flightglass to assess your customers' cloud platforms. It's written in plain English; where something matters, it says so directly.
1 Who we are and who these terms are for
Flightglass is provided by company name to be confirmed, a company registered in England and Wales with company number number to be confirmed, whose registered office is at address to be confirmed. In these terms, “we” and “us” means that company.
“You” means the firm that creates an Flightglass account, usually a consulting partner that assesses its customers’ AWS or Azure platforms. The person who creates the account confirms they can agree to these terms for the firm. Everyone your firm invites uses Flightglass under these terms on your firm’s behalf.
Flightglass is for businesses only. It isn’t offered to consumers, and you confirm you’re using it for your business.
The data processing agreement forms part of these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data about the people who use Flightglass.
2 What Flightglass does
Flightglass helps you assess how ready a customer’s cloud platform is for agentic AI. Your customer runs our open-source collector, which reads configuration settings in their cloud account and saves them to a file. You upload that file, and Flightglass scores it against a published set of checks, then helps you produce a roadmap, use-case recommendations, an agent blueprint and a report under your firm’s brand.
- Scores are calculated by fixed rules. The same file and the same version of the checks always give the same result. Each run records the version of the checks it used.
- Some wording is drafted by AI (Anthropic’s Claude). AI drafts are labelled, can be wrong, and must be reviewed and approved by someone in your firm before they can be exported. AI never decides a score.
- The collector is open source and published under the Apache License 2.0, which governs its use. It only reads; it can’t change anything in a cloud account.
3 Your account
- Your firm’s admins decide who is invited and what role they have, and are responsible for removing people who leave.
- People sign in with a link sent to their email address. Keep access to those mailboxes secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone has got into your account.
- You’re responsible for what happens under your firm’s account.
4 Your customers and their data
You decide which customers to assess and what to upload. Before you upload a customer’s file, you must have their permission, and a lawful basis under data protection law for us to process it for you. You’re responsible for:
- agreeing the assessment with your customer, including how the collector will be run and with which read-only permissions;
- only uploading files produced by the Flightglass collector, or files you’re entitled to share with us;
- not uploading special category data (for example health data), or anything you aren’t allowed to share.
We process your customers’ data only to provide Flightglass to you, as your processor under the data processing agreement. We don’t sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
5 Plans, prices and payment
- Plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and in Plans & billing when you buy. Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT, which is added where it applies.
- Your first assessment is free, for up to 5 AWS accounts or Azure subscriptions. Its report is marked as a free trial.
- Pay as you go: each assessment credit covers one assessment, including the re-scans shown when you buy. Single credits don’t expire. Credits bought in a bundle must be used within 12 months of purchase.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Plans & billing; your plan continues to the end of the period you’ve paid for and then stops. Unused assessments in a subscription don’t carry over after it ends.
- Payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure page. We never see or store card details.
- Payments aren’t refundable once an assessment has been used, except where the law requires it or we’ve failed to provide what you paid for.
- We may change prices. Changes never affect credits you’ve already bought. For subscriptions, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
6 Your reports and advice
Flightglass gives you evidence and recommendations; it doesn’t replace your professional judgement. The checks reflect published AWS and Microsoft guidance as at the version used, and cloud services change. You’re responsible for the advice you give your customers and for reviewing reports before you share them.
You own your content: your branding, the notes and use cases you enter, and the edited reports you produce. You can use and share exported reports with your customers as you wish. You give us permission to store and process your content only to provide Flightglass to you.
We own Flightglass itself: the software, the check catalogue, the scoring and the design. These terms give you the right to use it while your account is open; they don’t transfer any of it to you.
7 Fair use
You agree not to:
- try to reach another firm’s data, or get round Flightglass’s security;
- upload malicious files, or anything you’re not entitled to upload;
- copy, resell or rent access to Flightglass itself (delivering reports to your customers is, of course, the point);
- reverse-engineer the service, except as the law allows (the open-source collector is yours to read and adapt under its licence);
- overload the service, for example with automated requests.
If you think you’ve found a security problem, please tell us at contact email to be confirmed rather than testing it further.
8 Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Flightglass available and secure, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted, for example for maintenance or because a provider we rely on has a problem. We’ll give notice of planned maintenance where we can.
We improve Flightglass over time, including the checks. New versions of the checks never change results you already have: earlier runs keep the version they used. If we remove a significant feature you pay for, we’ll tell you at least 30 days in advance.
9 Ending the agreement
- You can stop using Flightglass at any time. To close your firm’s account, email contact email to be confirmed. Export any reports you want to keep first.
- We can suspend or close an account if these terms are seriously broken, if payment fails and isn’t fixed after we’ve told you, or if we have to by law. Unless it’s urgent, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
- If we decide to stop offering Flightglass altogether, we’ll give you at least 60 days’ notice and refund any prepaid subscription for the period after it closes.
- When an account closes, we delete its data within 30 days, as described in the privacy policy, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices.
10 Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
- Subject to that, neither of us is liable to the other for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- Subject to that, our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- Except as these terms say, Flightglass is provided as it is, and we don’t give other promises about it, for example that it is fit for a particular purpose.
11 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter to you, we’ll email your firm’s admins at least 30 days before they apply. If you don’t agree, you can close your account before then, and we’ll refund any prepaid subscription for the remaining period. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
12 General
- These terms, the data processing agreement and anything you agree to when buying are the whole agreement between us about Flightglass.
- Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- You can’t transfer this agreement without our agreement. We may transfer it to a company that takes over Flightglass, and we’ll tell you if we do.
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right straight away doesn’t mean giving it up.
- Only you and we have rights under these terms; no one else does.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
